Royal Baby's name
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their son Louis Arthur Charles. The baby will be known as His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Cambridge.
The baby is named Louis Arthur Charles. Among the British, who usually bet to find out the name of the royal baby, the most voted were Albert and Arthur. Here's what each of his names means:
- Louis means "renowned warrior" and, according to Hellogiggles, it was a tribute to Felipe, his great-grandfather, who had a grandfather named Louis.
- Arthur, on the other hand, means "strong bear" or "noble bear." This is the name of his grandfather, Prince Carlos. Although, according to the New York Times, it is also a tribute to King Arthur and the knights of the round table, who was "one of the great royal legends."
- Carlos, in honor of his grandfather, means "the man who is free."
