December 13, 2015 marks an unforgettable date for five aspiring young men who thanks to a talent search reality show became one of the hottest and successful boy bands of the moment: CNCO.
They are composed by the talented voices and great looks of Zabdiel de Jesus (Puerto Rico), Christopher Velez (Ecuador), Richard Camacho (Dominican Republic), Erick Brian Colon (Cuba), and Joel Pimentel (Mexico).
La Banda, the competition series created by Ricky Martin and Simon Cowell, opened the doors for the five winners who in less than three years have amassed millions of fans worldwide, chart-topping hits, and many awards, including two iHeart Radio Awards for Best Remix with Reggaeton Lento (Remix) featuring Little Mix and Best New Latin Artist.
CNCO, without a doubt, is the boy band you need to keep on your radar—especially because they're about to drop their sophomore self-titled album with captivating tunes.
"A lot of new music is coming, a lot of fresh music," Erick Brian Colon, the youngest in the band, told VIX. "We've been waiting for this moment for a long time and thank God it's finally here. The album has a lot of Latin pop songs but also some reggaeton songs," he said.
In the hype of the new production, the Latino boy band dropped three new singles with their respective music videos: Mi Medicina, Bonita, and Fiesta en mi Casa. These are in addition to their latest single, Mamita, which has 121 million views on YouTube.
"We released these new songs as a surprise to our fans," assured Christopher. "We released them every two weeks with their videos and it just so turns out that our third single and video, Solo Yo, comes out when the album comes out."
CNCO's second album drops Friday, April 6 on all digital platforms, but only a real CNCOwner will pre-order it here. ;)
