Tan France Is Being Hilariously Petty About Bobby Berk's Exit from 'Queer Eye'

There have been a number of reasons given for Bobby Berk leaving Queer Eye — he said he had other projects he was working on; some speculate it was because of his lack of screentime; others say that it was because Jonathan Van Ness is a nightmare — but no one ever said anything about being fired. That is, except Tan France, who wants to put to bed a rumor that he had Berk replaced on the show by his friend, Jeremiah Brent. In doing so, France said in an Instagram video posted yesterday, “My former colleague getting fired had nothing to do with me trying to get my friend hired.” “Former Colleague”? “Fired”? Oooh. Petty. I can’t get enough of the Glasgow Willy Wonka “Experience,” and every new piece of information that comes out is fascinating. The actors involved have now spoken out about it and I feel for them and also applaud them for at least trying to do *something* with a single bag of jelly beans! - (Jezebel)

The Rock has a men’s skincare line now. It’s a Target exclusive, so you know it’s good. - (Lainey Gossip)

Happy International Women’s Day!

In last week’s PL, I linked to a short clip of Tenacious D singing Britney Spears’s “… One More Time.” Here’s a different, longer version for your Jack Black-loving souls. - (YouTube)

So many good looks (and some that kinda missed the mark) at the ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Awards. Halle Bailey and her sister Chloe Bailey looked sublime. - (GFY)

Will we see a Katie Britt SOTU Response bit on this week’s SNL? God, I hope so! I can see Chloe Fineman, maybe. - (LateNighter)

Wonkette has even written the perfect script for the SNL skit; Chloe (or Kristen Wiig?) can just read it off cue cards. - (Wonkette)

I’m guessing Truman Capote’s guest appearances on talk shows were before most of our time. I remember watching bits and pieces of Carson but mostly when he had animals or other kids on the show. Seeing a late-night (comedy) talk show host and guest discussing capital punishment (while smoking a cigarette) feels almost as foreign as watching a tv show from another country. - (Primetimer)

Another show from my childhood, The Wiz, is back! Thank you, Amber Ruffin! Now I just need to get to NYC. - (Marie Claire)

I feel Floki, like, on a deep deep deep level. (You may want to turn down the volume before hitting play on this.)
