If I thought I could get away with it, this week’s Three Trailers would be Three Must-See David Lynch Films with his Dune as lagniappe (I don’t care, I love it.) But the show must go on, and there are new filmmakers and new films that deserve our attention too. So pour yourself a cup of coffee, get yourself a slice of pie and check out what I found this week.

There’s nothing new about The Alto Knights, but if you enjoy classic gangster movies this looks like one you’ll want to watch. Barry Levinson directs Robert DeNiro in dual roles as real-life mob bosses Vito Genovese and Frank Costello in this dramatic story about that one time Vito tried to kill Frank but accidentally brought down the entire American Mafia instead. Whoopsies.

Debra Messing and Kathrine Narducci star as the OG Mob Wives, and I’m missing Joe Pesci a little bit in this trailer. I hope he’s enjoying a golf course somewhere.

The Alto Knights was written by Nicholas Pileggi, who wrote Goodfellas. So, buckle up for when this hits theaters on March 21st.

The Genovese Crime Family turned the streets of NYC into a war zone. But Alex Garland’s follow up to last year’s Civil War takes place in an actual war zone.

Warfare was co-written and directed by Iraq War Vet Ray Mendoza. It’s a real-time recreation of a real battle that Mendoza and his fellow SEALs fought while stationed in Iraq.

Warfare stars Will Poulter (Dopesick), Cosmo Jarvis (Shōgun), Michael Gandolfini, Noah Centineo, Evan Holtzman (Hit Man), Joesph Quinn, and Charles Melton. It’s scheduled for theatrical release sometime this year.

Some of the most terrifying horrors happen in broad daylight when the supernatural invades the safe spaces of our homes —or, in this case, the front yard.

The Woman In The Yard is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Orphan, Carry-On) and stars Danielle Deadwyler (Station Eleven), Russell Hornsby (Grimm), Okwui Okpokwasili (The Exorcist: Believer), Estella Kahiha, and Peyton Jackson. It premieres in theaters on March 28th.

For this week’s lagniappe I’m happy to report NBC has revived a fan favorite with Suits LA coming to TV and Peacock on February 23rd.
