I had plans for which trailers would go into this week’s article. And then Netflix dropped The Merry Gentlemen trailer on us yesterday and I was compelled to make it the lead. Not because it’s a Very Important, or even a Very Good movie. But because…well, you’ll see. If this is how Netflix picks up the slack when Hallmark shoots itself in the foot I am here for the hilarity of it all, and Chad Michael Murray’s hair.

The Merry Gentlemen also stars Britt Robertson (A Dog’s Purpose), Marla Sokoloff (Dude, Where’s My Car?), Marc Anthony Samuel (Hot Guys With Guns), Colt Prattes, Hector David Jr. (Power Rangers: Super Samurai), Maxwell Caulfield (Empire Records), Michael Gross (Tremors, Family Ties), and Beth Broderick (Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina). It will be available to stream, exclusively on Netflix beginning on November 20th.

Enough about Christmas and abs. It’s still Spooky Season (Official) for another week, so here’s the trailer for the new movie produced by Sam Raimi, Don’t Move, also coming to Netflix.

Kelsey Asbille (Yellowstone), Finn Wittrock (American Horror Story), and Daniel Francis (Bridgerton) star in Don’t Move which begins streaming on Netflix today, October 25th.

Billy Crystal is taking a Robin Williams-esque late-career turn into serious psychological thrillers with Before, and I am here for it. Maybe it’s just a bit of a diversion, but I’m glad he’s doing this instead of a sequel to When Harry Met Sally.

The 10-episode series also stars Judith Light (The Menu) as Crystal’s wife and Jacobi Jupe (Peter Pan And Wendy) as his patient.

Before premieres on AppleTV+ today, October 25th.

I saw the promo for this week’s lagniappe trailer a while ago and got all teary-eyed like I always do when I listen to John Williams’ scores. Then forgot about it. It had its premiere in LA last night and I saw some pictures that made me remember it. John Williams is a genius, full stop. This will be a wonderful tribute to him. It will be on Disney+ beginning on November 1st.
