J.J. Abrams' 'Duster' Trailer Looks Stylish as Hell

J.J. Abrams has been keeping it low-key since The Rise of the Skywalker, although he’s still had his hand in production (he produced Presumed Innocent for Apple TV+). He’s back now, returning to television for the first time as writer/director basically since the decade he dominated the medium with Lost, Fringe, and Alias (and Felicity before that, plus one series that went nowhere, Undercovers).

Duster reunites Abrams with Lost co-star Josh Holloway, as well as Rachel Hilson, Keith David, and his old friend Greg Grunberg. It’s a fun premise: An FBI Agent (Hilson) teams up with a getaway driver (Holloway) to take down a major crime syndicate operated by David’s character. It’s set in 1972.

I have no idea if the show will actually be any good, but it looks fun, and, importantly, it also looks stylish as hell. The series — co-written by LaToya Morgan (Into the Badlands, Turn: Washington’s Spies — has been in the works for five years, and it finally hits Max in May.
