Alexis Ohanian Doesn’t Care What Stephen A. Smith or Anyone Thinks About His Wife

It was only a week ago that ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith was making headlines for speaking out against the government’s assault on DEI initiatives. People were saying crazy things like “Stephen A. Smith should run for president.” Some folks around here only slightly disagreed with that sentiment. While I don’t pay attention to sports, I pay attention to sports media and the intersection of sports and pop culture. I am old enough to remember that Stephen A. Smith is a regressive loudmouth who suffers from frequent episodes of foot-in-mouth disease.

It didn’t take Stephen long to ruin his pre-Super Bowl goodwill by deciding to have opinions about Serena Williams’ appearance in Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show. Because if she were HIS wife, she wouldn’t still be obsessed with Drake (who she was romantically linked to in 2011) and trying to troll him.

OK, Stephen. Whatever you say. At 57 years old, you remain unwed for reasons obvious to every woman in your orbit when you say dumb shit like this. And social media has not been shy about telling him this all week.

Throughout all of this, Serena’s husband, Reddit founder Alexis Ohanian, has remained handsome and unbothered. Why? Because he’s confident in his marriage and his manhood. And he’s killing it as a supportive husband and father.

Stephen A. Smith continues to not know how to keep his mouth shut and doubled down on his comments on ESPN yesterday.

Jason Whitlock tried to get in on the action, too. He is a bigger idiot than Smith. So much so that he is entirely unemployable by mainstream sports media these days, and has been relegated to the trash pile of Blaze Media.

Ohanian had smoke for him, too. Although he could be replying to either or both of these guys. They are both unmarried and 57 years old.

The laugh I laughed. I don’t know why they think Ohanian, or anyone else, cares about their thoughts on Serena and Alexis’ marriage. Or how Serena spends her time off the tennis court. Gentlemen, stay in your very narrow lane of expertise and let this woman and her family live their lives. It doesn’t matter how much you yell, Stephen. Or what right-wing buzzwords you sling, Jason. Alexis can’t hear you.
