Kim Kardashian and Kanye West seem to have a great relationship: they've been married for almost four years, they are parents to three adorable kids, and they're always attending events together like the #PowerCouple that they are.
But have you ever noticed their body language in photos and red carpets? For the most part, meaning, almost ALWAYS, West is standing behind his wife.
Body Language experts have weighed in on this curious pose that has somewhat become a tradition for the couple!
“You would think a power couple of this magnitude would choose to share the limelight and stand side by side as with other Hollywood royalty, but no,” expert Darren Stanton told Independent, explaining that Kanye shields behind Kim to make "himself appear smaller and more subservient as he is being careful not to steal any of the attention."
By standing behind Kim, Kanye is giving off the vibe that he's shy and doesn't like a lot of attention. It can also be a sign of protection, where the man wants to protect his woman by being more aware of her surroundings.
Expert Patti Wood also weighed in, saying: “If the woman is far forward with her full body from the feet up facing the camera, she is showing that she wants to be seen as number one." In Kimye's example, "he’s happy for her to receive most or all of the attention."
