While pregnant, a mom (hopefully) has our baby with us for about nine months. The connection between mother and baby is beautiful and incredible. When we give birth, the relationship with the new baby only intensifies.
If you really want a strong connection with your baby during the nine months of pregnancy, you should do these things...
1. Talk To Your Baby.
Don't hesitate to speak to the baby that's on the way. During week 20, your baby starts being able to recognize different voices, and as the weeks go by, the baby will recognize his or her mother's voice.
2. Listen To And Sing Along To Music.
Do you love listening to music? Babies love it too! Music can help us relax, and it can do the same for your baby. Listening to music with your baby can help you both connect, and singing to your baby is even more effective.
3. Massage Your Belly.
Massaging your belly from the moment you find out you're expecting is very important. This will help you connect to your baby and will relax both of you. Dad can also massage the belly, which will help with building his connection with the baby as well.
Doing yoga during pregnancy is a great idea for your health but it also works to help you connect with your baby. The endorphins you release while working out are great for your baby, and the stretching will help you relax and might even improve your labor experience.
Resting calmly helps build a closer bond between mother and baby. It's beneficial for you and your baby, so don't hesitate to take a nap "together".
